After a lengthy consultation with the province of British Columbia we have selected Jorja as a suitable candidate for this unique job.
She comes out of a long line of working dogs. Several of her recent ancestors consistently won detection competitions in Eastern Europe. Jorja seems to be following in their footsteps rather well.
All the training was conducted on real Tobacco with quantities varying from as little as 10 grams to as much as 10,000 grams.
She certified under two master trainers in January of 2008 and started working the streets.
She and her handler are a great team and they have been responsible for numerous busts of contraband tobacco products entering British Columbia.
We are very proud of this team and their hard work.
